Robert Kazanowitz is an assistant professor of education at the Touro College Graduate School of Education. He received a Master of Science in education from Brooklyn College and earned an advanced certificate in school administration, secondary school administration/principalship, also from Brooklyn College. Professor Kazanowitz is an expert in special education and served as an administrator for New York City public schools for 32 years, including as an assistant principal for one of the city’s largest special education high schools. Additionally, he was an administrator for special education at the New York City Department of Education.
