Niket Sonpal is an adjunct professor of clinical medicine in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harlem. A native of Long Island, N.Y., he earned his M.D. at the Medical University of Silesia–Hope Medical Institute in Poland, and completed his residency in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital, where he was chief resident in 2013-14. Dr. Sonpal has presented at over 25 national and regional conferences about his research on gastroenterology and social media in medicine, and is co‐author of the best-selling “Master the Boards: USMLE Step 2 CK,” “Master the Boards Step 3” and “Master the Boards: Internal Medicine.” He recently received the Laureate Award from the New York Chapter of the American College of Physicians, Inc. (ACP), presented to physicians for their commitment of excellence in medical care, education or research and in service to their community, region and the ACP.
