Statement on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program from College President Dr. Alan Kadish

A Message to the Touro Community

September 14, 2017

Touro College and University System supports our immigrant students and we believe it is our moral imperative to do so.

Our country has a rich history of welcoming immigrants who seek safety and a better quality of life, and by virtue of this opportunity become important contributing members of society. We are grateful for the ongoing work of New York Senator Chuck Schumer, California Representative Nancy Pelosi and President Trump leading to an agreement to employ legal means to both allow those under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program to stay in the United States and to supervise our borders in ways that appropriately balance the needs for security, opportunity and compassion for others.
