New York, N.Y. – Prof. Irina Berman of the Touro College Graduate School of Technology (GST) helps teachers develop desktop, mobile and online games to be incorporated into their curriculums. Using GameSalad Creator software, Prof. Berman showed educators how they can create games for use in the classroom during the first of two workshops for GST’s Summer Institute for Teachers.

The second workshop, entitled “Learning and Teaching Using the iPad,” will take place on August 6 and will be taught by Paul Facteau of Apple Inc. Participants of both workshops will receive certificates for completing six hours of professional development applicable toward the New York state teacher certification requirements. GST hosted a gaming institute in the winter and is planning others for the coming year. For more information please visit http://legacy.touro.edu/gst/.
