Touro Law Announces Two New Scholarships

Central Islip, NY –Touro Law Center is pleased to announce two newly created $25,000 scholarships for Touro Law students: the Tsunis Family Scholarship which will support students interested in land use and/or real estate law and the Joseph M. Marger ’89 Scholarship which will support students interested in corporate or business law. These endowed scholarships add to more than $1M in new student scholarships raised over the past year, including four in the past six weeks. 

Dean Patricia Salkin stated, “Access to an affordable legal education for all students is critically important and scholarship support, such as these two newly endowed generous gifts, are integral parts of the financing package for students.”  Salkin continued, “The Touro Law community is grateful for the leadership support of both John Tsunis and Joe Marger who make it possible for students interested in land use, corporate real estate law, corporate law and business law to pursue their passion.”

John Tsunis is Partner at Tsunis Gasparis Lustig Ring & Kenney LLP, Chairman of the Board of Gold Coast Bank and a member of the Touro Law Board of Governors. Joseph Marger is Partner at Reed Smith LLP and a member of Touro Law Board of Governors.
