“Escape Fire,” shown free on April 7, 2013, from 3-6 p.m., at Lander Hall A, on the University’s Mare Island Campus in Vallejo, examines the powerful forces maintaining the status quo, a medical industry designed for quick fixes rather than prevention, for profit-driven care rather than patient-driven care.

“The goal of the film is to spark an honest and important dialogue about the future of healthcare,” said ESCAPE FIRE Director Matthew Heineman. “We are excited to be partnering with the institutions to highlight the critical role public health systems will play in fixing our broken system.”

The event is hosted by Touro University California’s (TUC) Student Osteopathic Medical Association, TUC Public Health Club, and the California Public Health Association – North.

Refreshments will be provided.
