The Touro Institute on Human Rights and the Holocaust hosted representatives of more than a dozen Jewish NGOs accredited to the United Nations.
Noa Furman, Minister-Counselor in Israel's Permanent Mission to the United Nations, gave a presentation highlighting recent developments concerning women's rights and social issues as pertaining to Israel and the United Nations. Gloria Landy, representative of the World Council of Masorti synagogues, presented Ms. Furman with a certificate from the Jewish National Fund in recognition of her contribution to the welfare of Israel and the Jewish people at the United Nations.
