The Touro Institute on Human Rights and the Holocaust commemorated Yom Hashoah with an event entitled "Defending the Jewish People."
The event was cosponsored by the American Association of Lawyers and Jurists, and the Lander College for Women, The Anna Ruth and Mark Hasten School. The event featured Ambassador Ido Aharoni (Consul General of Israel in New York), Dr. Mark Hasten, (Polish Army, Liberator of Majdanek; IDF, Israel's War of Independence; Chairman of the Board of Touro College), Irit Kohn, (President, International Association of Jewish Lawyers & Jurists), and Steve Greenwald (Past-President, American Association of Jewish Lawyers & Jurists).
