Welcome to the section of our website that provides only information and materials for researchers who are conducting ongoing research projects that were reviewed and approved prior to January 21, 2019, either by the HSIRB or by IRB #1.
When originally approved, these projects were subject to the “Old” Common Rule federal regulations in effect prior to January 21, 2019. These projects continue to be subject to those “old” regulations until:
- The Exempt or Non-Exempt project is completed; or
- The on-going Non-Exempt project that was previously subject to annual review no longer meets the criteria mandating review and further approval by either Board.
