Touro University New York Research

Researchers may find the following resources useful as they conduct their projects:

  • "Old" Common Rule Regulations DHHS. These are the federal regulations for human subjects research protections that govern proposals approved by either the HSIRB or IRB #1 prior to January 21, 2019.
  • Materials found on the Office of Human Research Protections – U.S. Department of Health and Human Services website. The Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) provides leadership in the protection of the rights, welfare, and well-being of human subjects involved in research conducted or supported by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

Its website provides a variety of useful material, including a link to the Belmont Report and a link to detailed topical FAQs under Guidance that appears under the header "Regulations, Policy, & Posting."
